How to make a nectar feeder

You will need:

A glass bottle with cap

Plastic elbow that will fit in the middle of the cap

Wire

A small stick for bird to sit on

A drill

Clear silicone sealant

1. Take the bottle’s cap and drill a hole a bit bigger than the plastic elbow in the middle of the cap, insert the elbow in the hole, and seal around with the silicone and leave to dry so that the feeder won’t leak.

2. Take one end of some wire and bend it around the back end of the bottle, then bend it around the neck end of the bottle. This will be the feeders handle.

3. Take another piece of wire and bend it around one end of your small stick and then around the neck of the bottle.

4. Unscrew the cap and pour some water into the bottle and screw on the cap so that the upper hole of the elbow looks upward. Hold the bottle horizontally to check for leaks.

5. Hang the feeder in a tree with some nectar in the feeder and wait for the birds to come drink. Replace the nectar every 3-4 days.

How to make nectar

You will need:

¼ cup Sugar
A pot
1 cup Water

1. Heat the water to a boil in the pot.
2. Stir the sugar into the water.
3. Cool down, and pour into bird feeder.

Note:
Do not use red food coloring or honey, because it is not good for the birds. Rather, put something red on your bird feeder to attract the birds.
