Blacksmith Lapwing at Sweni hide
We visited the Sweni hide near Nwanetsi picnic site a lot while we were in the Kruger. There was a Blacksmith Lapwing with two chicks which we saw each time we visited the hide. The chicks were foraging while the parent was keeping a watchful eye. On one particular cold day , it seemed as if the parent called the chicks and gathered them under its wings!
