Water, water

Water is very important to birds. Some birds only drink from and bath in water, but others live near water and get food from it. Birds like herons, kingfishers, Fish Eagles and a lot of other water birds depend on water to survive. Even the Black-throated Canary always need water, so they always breed near a source of water.

A lot of garden birds enjoy bird baths. In order to attract birds to your garden you can make bird baths for them and keep the water clean. You will see all kinds of birds visiting these ponds.

They also like to bath under the garden hose sprayer.

Green-backed Herons are reliable on water for most of their diet.
